The Trim Flip – If you can still achieve good, thick length on top, but your crown may be thinning a bit, this is a great style to make the best of what you have. Trim the sides short, not buzzed, but close. This creates a symmetry to any thinning while the length in the front adds a youthful appearance to the face. A soft grooming cream along with a little hair paste keeps this youthful and not weighed down.
Sweep Back – Although this haircut looks a little complicated, it’s still possible to make a swept back look your daily style. All you need is a blow dryer and some texturing pomade. As a bonus, the messy texture doubles as another way to grow your hair and strengthen its volume.
How to Style – Have some hair product at the ready. You can use pomade, gel, or wax, but make sure your product of choice has a good, firm hold to it. Start by applying the product to damp hair. Comb it in, then comb the hair on top of your head straight up. Form the faux hawk shape by pressing the hair together. Add any spikes or other embellishments as you wish.
Longer Buzzcut – This cut in the same way as the previous two cuts are. It is used with a hair clipper and leaves the hair a little longer than the burr cut does. The birch is a term used for any full buzz cut that is used with one of the higher hair clipper guard numbers. Anything from 3 to 5 will fall into the birch cut category.
